To provide an electrode for organic electron devices improving the contact between an organic semiconductor layer and an SD electrode side, especially a source that is the electrode for organic thin-film transistors, the modification material of a drain electrode surface, a modification method, and an organic electron device and an organic thin-film transistor (TFT) using them, and a method of manufacturing an organic electron device and an organic TFT, and hence to obtain an organic TFT having high mobility and ON/OFF ratio and excellent transistor performance.
In the electrode for an organic electron device, surface modification is performed to an electrode surface with a -conjugated system cyclic compound so that a conjugated plane is arranged substantially in parallel with the electrode surface in the organic electron device having at least one patterned electrode and an organic active layer.
