PURPOSE: To reduce short-circuit accidents by providing picture element electrodes by colors while the 2nd through hole is formed in a transparent polyimide resin layer at the same position with the 1st through hole, and connecting a conductor for wiring to picture element electrodes electrically.
CONSTITUTION: The conductive film 16 for wiring is provided on a transparent substrate 3 and a colored filter layer 5, the transparent polyimide resin layer 15, the picture element electrode 4, and an oriented film 6 are provided thereupon successively; and the through hole 14 is formed partially in the colored filter layer 5 and transparent polyimide resin layer 15 and the conductive film 16 and picture element electrode 4 are connected electrically to each other. A glass plate, a transparent resin plate, a transparent resin film, etc., are applicable to the transparent substrate 3 and the colored filter layer 5 consists of polyimide resin, organic pigment, and a dispersion assistant and has excellent heat resistance and chemical resistance and can be patterned in an optional shape. The side of the through hole 14 is preferably much smaller than that of the picture element electrode 4 and normally ≥10μm. Consequently, short- circuit accidents are reduced greatly.
