Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a cartridge (104;204;304;404;504;604;704;804) for a fluid treatment system(101;401), wherein the cartridge(104;204;304;404;504;604;704;804) includes a housing defining at least one chamber for a fluid treatment medium, includes providing a cartridge housing part (212;312;512;612;712;812) including at least one wall (217;313;517;613;713;813) defining at least one opening (218;318;518;618;718;818) closable by a filter element (219;319;519;619;719;819). The filter element (219;319;519;619;719;819) is provided, wherein the filter element (219;319;519;619;719;819) includes a porous body (220;320;520;620;720;820) for at least mechanically filtering fluid flowing into the filter element (219;319;519;619;719;819) through at least one first surface area of the filter element (219;319;519;619;719;819), through the porous body (220;320;520;620;720;820) and out through at least one second surface area of the filter element (219;319;519;619;719;819). The filter element (219;319;519;619;719;819) includes a rim (221;321;521;621;721;821;921), covering at least a peripheral face of the porous body (220;320;520;620;720;820) so as to frame the first and second surface areas. The filter element (219;319;519;619;719;819) is combined with the cartridge housing part (212;312;512;612;712;812) so as to close at least one of the at least one openings (218;318;518;618;718;818) by bonding the rim (221;321;521;621;721;821;921) to the cartridge housing part (212;312;512;612;712;812).
