Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain an electrodeposition drum wherein the pressure of a contact surface is enhanced and contact is made uniform and also a state for turning on electricity is made uniform by smoothly arranging material which has thermal expansion coefficient larger than an inner drum and an outer skin and is good in electric conductivity and excellent in corrosion resistance on the outer circumferential face of the inner drum and shrink-fitting the outer skin on this material. CONSTITUTION:The outer circumferential face of an inner drum 1 is cut, and thereafter, the straight angle plates 3 described hereunder are spirally or cylindrically wound on the outer circumferential face of the drum 1. The plate 3 has thermal expansion coefficient larger than the drum 1 and an outer skin 2 and is good in electric conductivity and excellent in corrosion resistance. The straight angle plates 3 are fixed to the drum 1 by welding, a screw, a bolt and shrink-fitting, etc., and smoothened. Further, as the straight angle plate 3, e.g. alloy of copper and zinc is utilized. As the outer skin 2, e.g. Ti, Ta and Zr, etc., or alloy thereof are utilized, respectively. The outer skin 2 is heated and shrunk on the drum 1 and cooled to obtain the objective electro-deposition drum.
