Title:
ELECTROLUMINESCENCE LAMP
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06310279
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve dampproof property and prevent the drop of brightness and elongate the life by providing an insulating layer, which has steam barrier property, between a light emitting layer and a transparent conductive layer.

CONSTITUTION: A panel is formed by sticking together a ZnS: Mn light emitting layer, which uses cyanoethyl cellulose as an organic binder, and a laminate comprising a substrate, a transparent conductive layer, and an insulating layer so that the light emitting layer and the insulating layer may confront each other. The thickness of the insulating layer is 300-30000, and it has a steam barrier-like property, and besides when it is stacked on a transparent substrate, the moisture penetration rate is to be 1g/m2 per day or less, and the visible light transmission of percentage 80% or over. Hereby, the moisture which has penetrated from outside the substrate can be interrupted, and the drop of the brightness of a lamp to be prevented, and the life can be improved. Moreover, any life shortening can be prevented by means of a short-circuiting coaused by direct contact locally taking place between the transparent conductive layer and the emitting partides of the light emitting layer. Furthermore, since the insulating layer functions also as an effective dielectric layer, the light emission efficiency of a lamp improves.
