Abstract:
To provide an alkoxy-sulfonated aromatic polyimide excellent in waterproof property, and characteristics such as ion exchange capacity, proton conductivity and low methanol permeability, and an electrolyte membrane using the same.
This sulfonated aromatic polyimide has a structural unit expressed by formula (17). The electrolyte membrane is the membrane obtained by using the same compound.
