Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve throwing power and to obtain a uniform colored film for a long term by adding L-ascorbic acid, erysorbic acid or the like to an electrolytic soln. contg. a stannous salt used to color an oxide film on Al or an Al alloy. CONSTITUTION:Al or an Al alloy is anodically oxidized to form a porous oxide film. An electrolytic soln. for coloring contg. a stannous salt or the salt and other metallic salt for coloring and an antioxidant for the stannous salt is prepd. One or more kinds of compounds selected among L-ascorbic acid, derivs. thereof, erysorbic acid and derivs. thereof are used as the antioxidant. The Al metal having the formed porous oxide film is electrolyzed in the electrolytic soln. Coloring peculiar to the added metal is carried out with high throwing power, and a uniform colored film is obtd. for a long term.
