To prevent the occurrence of improper operation of a valve and an armature caused by the magnetic foreign matter caught in between a pole face of the armature and a pole face of a stator.
An electromagnetic actuator is constituted by pressing the armature 11 for driving the valve 9 and a magnetic body (a permanent magnet or the like) 41 constituted by another component to an electromagnet (an electromagnetic coil 13, the stator 15 or the like) for generating electromagnetic force for attracting the armature 11 against an end face on an armature side of a valve body 5 by energizing force of a spring member 42 and fixing them. Consequently, since the magnetic body 41 is arranged in the vicinity of a wall face not affecting the magnetic field formed by the electromagnetic coil 13 of the electromagnet and facing the inside of an armature chamber 37 in the valve body 5, the magnetic foreign matter (chips produced after cutting or grinding or the like) floating in the fuel flowing into the armature chamber 37 is caught into the magnetic body 41. As a result, the magnetic foreign matter is prevented from being caught between the pole face of the armature 11 and the pole face of the stator 15.
