Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a weight of an electromagnetic clutch 20.SOLUTION: The electromagnetic clutch comprises: a pulley 30; an armature 40 to which a rotary driving force is transmitted by being coupled to the pulley 30; and an electromagnetic coil 51 around which an aluminum wire is wound, that constitutes a magnetic circuit M for passing a magnetic flux at a boundary between the pulley 30 and the armature 40 plural times, and that generates a suction magnetic force for coupling the pulley 30 and the armature 40. Non-magnetic parts 83, 84 of the armature 40 and non-magnetic parts 65, 66, 67 of the pulley 30 are offset from each other in a radial direction of a rotation shaft 2a. In the magnetic circuit M, the magnetic flux passes through the boundary between the armature 40 and the pulley 30 6 times. Therefore, an amount of the magnetic flux flowing through the magnetic circuit M is reduced. Thus, a cross sectional area of the magnetic circuit M can be made small.
