Title:
ELECTROMAGNETIC FLOWMETER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3575571
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce flow noise by providing a stripe planar part larger than the diameter at the liquid contact face of a detection electrode on the inner surface of a duct for feeding a fluid to be measured while including the detection electrode in the longitudinal direction of the duct.
SOLUTION: A columnar stainless steel electrode 15A for detecting an electromotive force proportional to a flow rate generated in a fluid to be measured is secured, while being insulated from a duct 13, in the center of the duct 13 for feeding the fluid to be measured. Furthermore, planar parts 16A, 16B of specified width W including the detection electrode 15A are formed on the inner surface of a lining 14 from the flange 13A side to the flange 13B side in the longitudinal direction of the duct 13. More specifically, at least the stripe planar parts 16A, 16B larger than the liquid contact surface of the detection electrode 15A are formed while including the detection electrode 15A. According to the structure, the inner surface of the duct 13 can be made flush with the surface of the detection electrode 15A regardless of the aperture of the duct 13 or the liquid contact area of the detection electrode 15A.
