Title:
ELECTROMAGNETIC FUEL SPILL VALVE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3507106
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve durability of a spring on the opening valve side by a method wherein fuel fed with a pressure to an injection nozzle is spilled at a given timing.
CONSTITUTION: An electromagnetic spill valve (an electromagnetic fuel spill valve) 25 is disposed in the middle of the spill passage 24 of a fuel injection pump 1. In the electromagnetic spill valve 25, a needle valve 32 is slidably disposed in the fuel passage 30b of a valve body 30. An armature 29 is attached to the needle valve 32 through a rod 28. An electromagnet 27 is disposed to a casing 26. A spring containing chamber 33 formed in the needle valve 32 is partitioned away from a fuel passage 30b by a spring guide 35 and a spring 34 on the opening valve side is contained in the spring containing chamber 33. During energization of the electromagnet 27, the needle valve 32 is held in a valve closing position. When switching from energization to non- energization is effected, the needle valve 32 is moved to a valve opening position through the energizing force of the spring 34 on the valve opening side and high pressure spill fuel flows in a gap between the needle valve 32 and the valve body 30.
