Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an artifical stone resembling a natural stone of high density in terms of physical property and having an outer beautiful appearance.
CONSTITUTION: An artifical stone of high density consists of an inorganic fine particle component of natural stone with a mesh size of 10 to 70. The weight ratio of the fine particle component and an inorganic fine particle component with a mesh size of 100 or larger is (0.5:1) to (5:1), and the sum of these weight is equivalent to 85%wt.% or higher, while the resin component is equivalent to 15% or lower. Thus each component is uniformly composed, and the texture surface of an artificial stone of high density with the fine particle component of natural stone exposed is ground by a high pressure water ejected to the surface of a molding.
