To provide an electromagnetic pressing device preventing enlargement and complication and preventing an increase in power consumption or a decrease in efficiency.
The electromagnetic pressing device includes: a thrust mechanism generating pressing force based on moving force when a relative distance between an electromagnet 102 and an magnetic member 103 is displaced; a pressing member 111 relatively moved with respect to the thrust mechanism and transmitting the pressing force to a pressed member 120; and a relative movement regulating means regulating the relative movement by controlling magnetism applied to magnetic fluid 126. The magnetic fluid 126 is filled into a first filling chamber 112 located between the thrust mechanism and the pressing member 111 and a second filling chamber 114 communicated with the first filling chamber 112 through a first channel 115. The magnetic member 103 branches a magnetic flux generated by the electromagnet 102 into magnetic paths 127, 128 having different magnetic flux density and different magnetic reluctance. The first channel 115 includes a second channel 118 through which any one of the magnetic paths passes.
