Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic relay that optimizes an operating characteristic without causing a cost increase.SOLUTION: An electromagnetic relay 1 according to the invention includes: a contact part having fixed contacts 2 and movable contacts 3 displaceable in directions of approach/separation to/from the fixed contacts 2; a drive part 7 having a movable core 6 coupled to the movable contacts 3 via an axial core 5, a coil 13, and a fixed core including a first plate-shaped member 12 having a through hole 121 through which the axial core 5 passes and a second plate-shaped member 10 encapsulating the coil 13; and permanent magnets 19 having a polarity direction perpendicular to the directions of approach/separation. Either of the first plate-shaped member 12 and the second plate-shaped member 10 has extension portions 12c, 10c extended to the side of the contact part, and the extension portions 12c, 10c hold the permanent magnets 19.
