Title:
ELECTROMAGNETIC STIRRING DEVICE AND ELECTROMAGNETIC STIRRING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2004042064
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
To prevent a service lifetime of a mold from being reduced by stirring molten metals with actions of the electromagnetic force.
Local heat generation of the mold 2 can be prevented by making the distribution of magnetic flux density inside the mold 2 uniform as fast as possible by dispersing a magnetic field to be imparted to molten steel 5 by shifting the phase of a current to be fed to a coil 42K wound around a core 41B 180 degrees to the phase of a current to be fed to a coil 42A wound around a core 41A.
