Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera that reduce the capacity of image information while avoiding deterioration of an image, and to provide the reduction method of image information and a storage medium. SOLUTION: In the case that the portrait mode is set, since a bust-up shot is usually intended and it is properly considered that a rate of an object width in an image frame with respect to an image frame width is about 0.3, a trimming image where a rate of an object width with respect to an image frame width after trimming is 0.3 is produced (S63, S64) and the information of the trimming image is compressed (S65).
