PURPOSE: To manufacture large-sized green compact having complicated shape at high productivity by sealing in an elastic vessel at the time of manufacturing the green compact of high melting point metal powder of W, Mo, etc., and lowering the pressure after pressurizing to raise the pressure under the specific condition.
CONSTITUTION: The elastic vessel 1 made of thin rubber material of 0.2W3.5mm thickness is closely stuck on inner surface 21 of a rigid material-made guide case 20 of metal or plastic, etc., and the high melting point metal powder 10 of W, Mo or their alloy, etc., is packed in the vessel and the opening part 2 is sealed by using sealing materials 4, 5 having projections 9 for press- contacting the opening part with bolts 6 and nuts 7. This is charged into a static hydraulic press cylinder, and the pressurized force is raised up to 1.2ton at 0.04ton/min pressure raising speed and after holding for about 15min, the pressure in the cylinder is lowered at ≥10-2ton/min pressure lowering speed. A large quantity of green compacts having complicated and large sized shape can be manufactured without any cracking at low cost.
