To provide a safe coin system for accepting a service request from portable equipment even for an automatic vending machine which is not connected to a network.
This system is constituted of an electronic coin issue server 203 connectable to a normal communication line and a vending machine 202. The electronic coin issue server 203 is provided with a user authentication part for receiving an issue request from the portable equipment through a radio path and for authenticating the legality of the request; an issuing part for issuing the requested sum of electronic coins with verification information after the user is authenticated; and a charging part for managing charging accompanying the issue. The vending machine 202 has an electronic coin verifying part for receiving the input of electronic coins guaranteed by the electronic coin server and verifying the electronic coins in response to a service request from the portable equipment through the radio path. The vending machine offers a service after the electronic coins are verified.
