Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain high resistance against inconvenient load dump by inserting a first diode polarized forward into a a line connected with the positive pole of a voltage supply and arranging a second diode which is reverse polarized for connecting the cathode terminal of the first diode with the earth terminal. SOLUTION: This electronic apparatus 1 having a protective circuit 10 includes a battery 2 and a load circuit 3 as a voltage supply. The protective circuit 10 is provided with a first diode 12 polarized forward and inserted into a line connected with the positive pole of the battery 2, and a second diode 13 reverse polarized and arranged to connect the cathode terminal of the diode 12 with the earth terminal. The breakdown voltage of the diode 12 is selected to be higher than that of the diode 13. With such a circuitry, breakdown voltage of the diode 12 exceeds a target operating voltage by about 20%, and the breakdown voltage of the diode 13 exceeds the target operating voltage by about 10%, thus realizing high resistance against inconvenient load dump.
