Title:
ELECTRONIC MUSICAL INSTRUMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3661963
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to generate adequate constituting tone in correspondence to timbre and to change the number of the constituting tones for every timbre by executing chord development by using tables varying for every timbre.
SOLUTION: A keyboard 6 consists of plural keys each having, for example, two switches. A keyboard interface circuit 7 scans the states of the switches of the respective keys and forms key event information and touch information by detecting the state changes thereof. A sound source circuit 8 generates musical tone waveform signals by successively reading waveform data at the address intervals proportional to the pitch to be produced out of a waveform memory 9 where digital musical tone waveform sample values are stored and executing interpolation computation. In such a case, the chord development is executed by using the tables varying with each timbre and, therefore, the adequate constituting tones may be generated corresponding to the timbres and the changing of the number of the constituting tones for every timbre is made possible. In addition, the generation of the chords meeting styles is possible.
