Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict a stop of an odometer during running by using only an EEPROM circuit, obtaining a run distance of a vehicle and enhancing a redundancy to gobbledygook. even for regular noises.
SOLUTION: A CPU circuit 2a takes and counts vehicle velocity pulses, updates run distance data of an EEPROM circuit 3a for every predetermined run distance, forms display data based on the latest run distance data, and displays a latest run distance on a display device 4. A write process part 51 carries out a write process to the EEPROM 3a by a preliminarily set first write number of times. If the write process fails even after the write process of the first write number of times, a rewrite process part 52 carries out a rewrite process with a shorter rewrite cycle than a write cycle by a preliminarily set second write number of times. When the rewrite process fails even after the rewrite process by the second write number of times, a first integration stop part 53 judges that the EEPROM circuit 3a is abnormal and stops to integrate the run distance data.
