PURPOSE: To provide an electronic mounting method for reducing the mounting time for electronic parts by reducing the amounts of movement of a mounting head.

CONSTITUTION: The same kind of electronic parts are put in respective group based on coordinate data of electronic parts to be mounted on a printed circuit board 3. Next, every group is lined up and a rank order is given in the order starting from a group having the largest quantity of electronic parts. For all electronic parts in a group having the highest rank order, the distribution on the printed circuit board in X-axis direction and Y-axis direction of the electronic parts stated above is then tabulated, mean values on X-axis and Y-axis are respectively determined as central coordinates, a shorter distance from the central Y-coordinates to one of the electronic parts supply sections 1 and 2 is determined, and the nearest array division from the central X-coordinates in the electronic parts supply sections 1 and 2 is determined as an array position. By doing this, the moving distance of the mounting head can be reduced.
