Then, if article data registered in the memories of the controller 3 and electronic scales 51W54... is destroyed owing to a noise, etc., registration needs to be performed at every time, so the article data which is registered temporarily is stored on a storage medium to eliminate the need for key input operation thereafter. In such a case, a ROM writer 8 and a cassette recorder 9 are connected to the computer 6 and article data is stored temporarily on an external storage medium by the computer 6; and it is loaded in cassette recorders 90W94... when necessary to register the data in the controller 3 and electronic scales 51W54... again.
