Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic time piece capable of selectively controlling an optimum rate pulse in various types of models and performing a stable rate measurement.SOLUTION: Determination is made as to whether or not a rate measurement can be performed or whether or not no rate measurement is performed from a response signal of a rate measurement device, after a predetermined lapsed time from when a rate pulse is outputted. When determined that the measurement has failed, a rank value of a rate pulse is ranked up, and when determined that the measurement has succeeded, the rank value is controlled to be maintained by rate pulse control means 8. When determined that the rate measurement has not been performed, the rank value is reduced to the minimum or the number of times when the rate measurement is not performed is counted, and stop of the rate pulse may be performed when the count reaches a predetermined value.
