To provide an electrophoretic display device capable of achieving narrowing of a frame, while securing sufficient moisture resistance to an electrophoretic element, and to provide an electronic apparatus electro-optical device, a method of driving the electro-optical device, and the electronic apparatus.
The electrophoretic display device includes: the electrophoretic element formed by sandwiching an electrophoretic layer between a first substrate and a second substrate; a first moisture-proof film arranged on a surface on the opposite side to the electrophoretic layer of the first substrate; a pair of cover sheets arranged respectively on each outside of the first substrate and the second substrate; a core sheet arranged between the pair of cover sheets, for enclosing the periphery of the electrophoretic element; and a sealing part formed by superimposing and mutually laminating in the substrate surface direction, at least the first moisture-proof film, the core sheet and one cover sheet.
