Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an electrophoretic platform.
CONSTITUTION: The electrophoretic platform comprises an electrophoretic plate 10 including a base 12 having two edge areas, and an electrophoretic medium layer 18, a supporting means for supporting the base 12, and the first and second electrodes electrically kept into contact with the first and second edge areas 22. Typically The electrophoretic platform comprises plural electrodes 126 electrically connected with each other, and having the common polarity. The electrodes 126 are composed of the elongated conductive members. The supporting means is formed by a plastic tray 30 comprising a hollowed area having a bottom, and an opening on the bottom, and a ceramic plate installed in the hollowed area, the first and second electrodes 126 are attached on the bottom in adjacent to the opening, and the electrophoretic plate 10 is supported on the heat conductive member 64. The ceramic plate comprises the openings through which the first and second electrodes 126 are respectively thrusted, and the thermal conductive member 64 is trusted into the central opening of the ceramic plate from the opening of the bottom of the hollowed area of the tray 30.
