Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a grain culm-carrying section of a head-feeding type combine harvester, enabling to smoothly and surely feed grain culms without relating to the lengths of the grain culms, and improved in workability, by connecting the front end side of a plant foot-discharging rod to a longitudinally carrying device through an adjustable joint and also connecting the rear end side of the plant foot-discharging rod to a threshing device through an adjustable joint.
CONSTITUTION: A longitudinally carrying device 8 for feeding grain culms into a threshing feed chain 9 is disposed in a state capable of being freely moved in the longitudinal direction of the fed grain culms about the support point on the rear end side of the device 8 for controlling the threshing depth, and a plant foot-discharging rod 11 for delivering the foot sides of the grain culms is disposed between the longitudinally carrying device 8 and the threshing feed chain 9. The front end side of the foot-discharging rod 11 is connected to the longitudinally carrying device 8 through an adjustable joint 12, and the front end side of the foot-discharging rod 11 is also connected to the carriage-starting end side of the threshing feed chain 9 through an adjustable joint 13.
