Abstract:
To provide an electrophotographic device that can control the potential of an exposure part of a photoreceptor with high accuracy in a short time.SOLUTION: An electrophotographic device has: an electrophotographic photoreceptor; electrifying means; image exposure means; developing means; transfer means; charge transfer amount detection means that detects the amount of charge transfer per unit time due to discharge to the electrophotographic photoreceptor; and exposure part potential control means that causes the electrifying means to electrify the electrophotographic photoreceptor, causes the image exposure means to perform image exposure with a light intensity at at least one point at a position having a weaker light intensity than the light intensity indicating the minimum value of a normalized radius of curvature R indicated by the following formula (E1) of the electrophotographic photoreceptor obtained by the EV curve measurement method, and with light intensities at at least two points at a position having a more intense light intensity than that indicating the minimum value of the normalized radius of curvature, causes the charge transfer amount detection means to detect the amount of charge transfer per unit time to the electrophotographic photoreceptor when the exposure part is electrified, and controls the potential of the exposure part of the electrophotographic photoreceptor from a result of detection.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
