To provide an electrophotographic image forming apparatus capable of presenting high-quality images, the apparatus including a developing roller that can suppress fogging even after continuous image output in a high temperature and high humidity environment.
The electrophotographic image forming apparatus includes an electrostatic latent image carrier, a developing roller 1 to be in contact with the electrostatic latent image carrier and supplying a toner to the surface of the electrostatic latent image carrier to form a toner image, and a developer amount regulating member to be in contact with the developing roller and forming a toner layer on the developing roller. The developing roller comprises a conductive shaft 2, a silicone rubber elastic layer 3 formed on an outer circumference face of the conductive shaft, and a polyurethane surface layer 4 formed on an outer circumference face of the elastic layer. The silicone rubber elastic layer contains a compound having a polymer unit having a specified siloxane dendrimer structure in a side chain and an acrylate polymer unit.
