To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor having high wear resistance and scuffing resistance, stability and good electrical properties and giving higher image quality over a prolonged period of time.
The electrophotographic photoreceptor has at least a photosensitive layer and a surface layer in this order on a conductive support, wherein the surface layer is formed by crosslinking a mixture containing at least a trifunctional or higher functionality radical polymerizable monomer having no charge transport structure and a monofunctional radical polymerizable compound having a charge transport structure with a light energy irradiation means. In the electrophotographic photoreceptor, an ultraviolet absorber is contained in a layer located farthest from the conductive support among the constituent layers of the photosensitive layer.
