To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor which even in long-term use, assures mechanical strength and shows excellent image stability, and an image forming method and apparatus and a process cartridge using the same.
The electrophotographic photoreceptor has at least a photosensitive layer and a surface protective layer on a conductive support. The image forming method and apparatus and the process cartridge are configured using the electrophotographic photoreceptor. The surface protective layer contains a charge transport compound (D) and a filler (E) in a cured resin produced by reacting a polyol compound (A) not containing a triarylamine structure, an isocyanate compound (B) having two or more isocyanate groups, and a compound (C) containing a hydroxyl group and a triarylamine structure, wherein the charge transporting compound does not have a functional group reactive with the isocyanate compound (B) and contains a triarylamine structure, and wherein a content Dc of the compound (C) and a content Dd of the compound (D) are controlled so that the relational expression: Dc≤Dd is satisfied.
