PURPOSE: To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body high in sensitivity and low in residual potential, and superior both in electric and mechanical durability by incorporating a specified stilbene deriv. together with a specified polycarbonate resin in a photosensitive layer.

CONSTITUTION: The electrophotographic sensitive body superior in durability and the like can be obtained by laminating on a conductive substrate the photo sensitive layer contg. the stilbene deriv. represented by formula I [R1WR5 are each H, halkogen, alkyl, alkoxy, or amino represented by -N(R7, R8); R7, R8 are each H, alkyl, optionally substd. aralkyl or aryl, each may combine with each other to form a ring, and each is not simultaneously H; at least one combi nation of R1 and R2 and R3, R3 and R4, R4 and R5 may from an optionally substd. polycyclic aromatic ring or a hetero ring together with the combining benzene ring; R6 is H, alkyl, optionally substd. phenyl; and (m) is 0 or 1], and the polycarbonate resin represented by formula II in which (n) is an average polymn. degree of 50W500.
