Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic charge image developed to obtain a high quality image without deposition of a carrier and to provide an electrostatic developing method using this developer.
SOLUTION: The electrostatic charge image developer is produced by mixing a magnetic carrier with a magnetic toner containing a binder resin and a magnetic powder as the essential components. The volume specific resistance of the magnetic carrier is controlled to ≥109Ωcm, and the average particle diameter of the magnetic carrier is 0.5 to 6 times as the average particle diameter of the magnetic toner. The magnetization σ1000c of the magnetic carrier is controlled to 0.5 to 4 times as the magnetization σ1000t of the magnetic toner. The absolute difference between the triboelectric charge amt. Qc of the magnetic carrier and Qt of the magnetic toner is controlled to satisfy &verbar Qt-Qc&verbar =5 to 50μC/g.
