Abstract:
An electrode plate (37) is located in a refrigerator, while being insulated from the inner wall of the refrigerator, and an object of treatment is placed on the electrode plate (37), also while being insulated from the inner wall of the refrigerator, followed by the application of a voltage suitable for food to the same. A high voltage generator used for this purpose is provided with safety devices (1027, 1078) for preventing the flow of a current exceeding a specified value. In a fryer, an electrode (260) is inserted into an oil container and a voltage of 500 - 700V is applied to the electrode (260) while leaving a fryer case ungrounded.
