PURPOSE: To increase the recovery amount of granules excepting electrically- conductive particles by providing both a lower-part electrode having transport function of the granules and an upper-part electrode having a triangular shape, and separating the granules supplied between both electrodes into the transport direction of the lower-part electrode and into the orthogonal direction thereto.
CONSTITUTION: Two or more kinds of granules 4 (e.g. ore and pulverized coal, etc.,) are separated and selected by utilizing the difference of behavior in an electric field which is based on the difference of electrical characteristics. In this case, both a lower-part electrode 1 having transport function of the granules and an upper-part electrode 2 basically formed into a triangle are provided. The granules 4 supplied between both electrodes are separated into the transport direction of the lower-part electrode 1 and into the orthogonal direction to this transport direction. As a result, the recovery amount of the granules excepting the electrically-conductive particles is increased. Further the need for a movable part and a scraping mechanism is eliminated and thereby the titled device can be simplified and miniaturized. Furthermore electric energy is made little because the granules are not stuck. Further treatment of large amounts is enabled only by continuously moving the granules.
