PURPOSE: To vary a span of door opening time freely longer or shorter according to the number of pieces of the destination floor call registers in the case where many users perform the call register from the same floor, in an elevator provided with a hall destination floor call register.

CONSTITUTION: The number of destination floor call registers at the elevator hall concerned is counted at each hall, and when the buner of the registers is larger than the specified value, it is predicted that a number of users might go on board from the same floor, so a span of door opening time is set so as to be prolonged in advance according to the excess register numbers. Since users from the same floor are predicted if the number of hall destination call registers is so many, the door opening time is prolonged, through which the door is preventable from being closed till the boarding or alighting or a large number of users is all over, so even if there are many users, this door motion will not fluster these users at all, thus an improvement in service is well promoted.
