To provide an elevator system for going to an object story in its sharing sector using an elevator, even when a certain group is rested due to a failure or a maintenance-inspection, by enhancing transport capacity.

This elevator system is composed of a control system for taking charge of traffic of the elevator between stories except for a reference story of a building and a control system for taking charge of a part between the reference story of the building and the story except for the reference story. Two group supervisory operation control devices are arranged in the former control system for managing and controlling two groups sharing two sectors in its groups by the respective groups by dividing a service story floor except for the reference story into two sectors, and the respective groups are constituted of two cars. A group supervisory operation control device is arranged in the latter control system for managing and controlling by sharing traffic between one sector and the reference story by the respective groups by dividing the service story floor except for the reference story into optional sectors, and the respective groups are constituted of the two cars.
