To provide a yarn winder and a method for preventing a bunch concentration phenomenon in the outermost layer of a full bobbin and a bunch concentration phenomenon in the innermost layer of an empty bobbin.
The yarn winder includes: a rotation drum; bobbin holders rotatably provided at the upper and lower parts of the rotation drum, and loaded with bobbins on one end formed with a transfer tail groove; a traverse roller section winding yarn on the upper bobbin with a predetermined traverse width; and a friction roller section for applying a constant pressure to the yarn in contact with the upper bobbin. The yarn winder has: a shift guide for separating the yarn path from a traverse position; a transfer tail forming section for guiding the yarn to the transfer tail groove of the bobbin when transferring and cutting the yarn; and a swing guide section for guiding the yarn path to the transfer tail groove side of the bobbin when transferring and cutting the yarn. The bobbin is formed with a slot groove orienting inward for cutting the yarn.
