Abstract:
The aim of the invention is to transfer an image-type coating from a carrier foil onto a printed sheet. Said aim is achieved by applying an image-type adhesive to the printed sheet. The carrier foil comprising the image-type coating is then directed past the printed sheet while contact pressure is applied in a coating mechanism (2) such that the coating adheres at the adhesive points and an image is created. Adhesive is applied and the layer is transferred in a single printing unit of a printing press, among other things, in order to improve the function of and simplify the device while increasing flexibility.
