Title:
PRINTING MACHINE FOR WATERLESS PLANOGRAPHY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH09193357
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To eliminate slipping between an attaching roller and a plate cylinder so as to prevent scumming by setting the peripheral speed of the attaching roller to a peripheral speed which is substantially the same as that of the plate cylinder or higher.

A printing machine for waterless planography comprises at least a drive roller 1, an attaching roller 2 which rotates in contact with the drive roller 1, and a plate cylinder 3 which comes in contact with the attaching roller 2. When the attaching roller 2 is pushed into the drive roller 1 and the peripheral speed of the attaching roller 2 becomes substantially lower than the peripheral speed of the drive roller 1, the peripheral speed of the drive roller 1 is made to be higher than the peripheral speed of the plate cylinder 3 within a predetermined range, so that the peripheral speed of the attaching roller 2 can be set to a peripheral speed which is substantially the same as the peripheral speed of the plate cylinder 3 or higher than that. In a driving method of the drive roller 1, for example, when the drive roller is to be rotated by transmitting power of a motor of the printer with a gear group and transmitting it to a gear fixed to the shaft of the drive roller 1, the number of gears fixed to the shaft of the drive roller 1 and the number of teeth of the gears for transmitting the power are changed, so that the number of revolutions of the drive roller 1 can be changed.
