Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an emulsified fuel oil compsn. which contains high-temp. corrosion inhibitor and has a low viscosity and a good stability by emulsifying an ultraheavy oil in water.

CONSTITUTION: The compsn. comprises 60-85wt.% ultraheavy oil, 15-40wt.% water, 0.005-0.05wt.% (in terms of Mg) magnesium compd., and 0.05-1.0wt.% emulsifier contg. an ethylene oxide adduct of an 8-20C monohydric alcohol and a ligninsulfonic acid salt.
