To provide an emulsion composition from which a low-fat whip cream can be obtained, and an emulsion composition from which a whip cream excellent in shape retention can be obtained without damage to texture.SOLUTION: An emulsion composition comprises a carboxymethylated cellulose nanofiber (1) having a carboxymethyl substitution degree of 0.50 or less, a degree of crystallinity of cellulose type I of 50% or more, and an average fiber diameter of 3 to 500nm, and fat composition (2).SELECTED DRAWING: None
