Title:
ENAMEL PLATE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3394188
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assure sufficient post bendability, to prevent a ground surface from being visible through and to impart glass to the surface by forming an enamel layer contg. a prescribed amt. of pigments on at least one surface of a substrate and a transparent enamel layer on the upper layer thereof to a specific thickness in total.
SOLUTION: At least one surface of the substrate 1, such as metallic sheet, is subjected to cleaning preferably by degreasing, washing, etc., then to glazing and firing, by which the first enamel layer 2 contg. the pigments is formed thereon. The pigment content is preferably about 20 to 60 wt.% and the pigments are preferably white pigments, more particularly titanium oxide which are excellent in a hiding property. The shapes of the pigments are preferably granular or spherical shapes to prevent the increase in viscosity at the time of forming a slurry and the size thereof is specified to about 0.1 to 0.6 μm, by which the hiding property is preferably improved and the surface ruggedness is lessened. The second enamel layer 3 is formed at about ≥1 μm in thickness on the first enamel layer 2 and the first and second enamel layers are formed to a total of ≤30 μm.
