Abstract:
PURPOSE:To produce a cast enameled bathtub of gold lacquer work type by heating black mica to specific temperatures to a golden color, sprinkling the same on the colored enamel layer of a base material for bathtub, and further melt-sticking transparent enamel thereon. CONSTITUTION:The black mica which has been heated for 3-5min at 800- 1,200 deg.C to form a golden color is ground and sized to 70-100 mesh grain sizes. On the other hand, the under glaze 2 prepd by mixing CoO, MnO2, NiO, etc. of high melt-sticking characteristic to the next colored enamel frit with volatile glue is coated on a base material 1 for cast enamel bathtubs. This bathtub is put in a heating furnace and is heated to about 1,000 deg.C. At the same instant when it is removed from the furnace, ordinary colored enamel frit compounded with coloring pigments is sprayed and is melt-stuck on the bathtub. While this melt-stuck frit layer 3 is in the half-molten state of high temp., the powder 4 of the golden colored black mica having beforehand been prepared is sprinkled and stuck in the form of gold lacquer work. Finally, the frit of transparent enamel is sprayed thereon and is melt-stuck 5.
