Abstract:
To provide a method for leaching enargite, a poorly-soluble mineral, by bioleaching.SOLUTION: Activated carbon is added to a raw material comprising enargite, and bioleaching is performed with iron bacteria. The amount of the added activated carbon is set so that a period for which a redox potential of a leachate is 650-700 mV with respect to a standard hydrogen electrode is included in the leaching period. By bioleaching, enargite, a poorly-soluble mineral, can be leached out.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
