Abstract:
To provide an enclosed type electric compressor for a house hold-use refrigerator with high efficiency and low noise performance by improving the intake efficiency of noise elimination effect of a suction muffler.
A suction muffler 17 is composed of two chambers 22, 23, a tail pipe 20, a communication pipe 24, and a suction pipe 25. The pipes 20, 24, 25 are arranged on a same plane with opposite openings inclined to be formed into a letter U shape. With the constitution, pressure wave is attenuated at two stages to thereby reduce the flow resistance of refregerant, resulting in improvement in the noise elimination characteristic and suction efficiency of the muffler 17.
