Abstract:

To provide an encoder for a magnetic sensor capable of smoothly executing separation works, without causing flaws to generate on an encoder magnetic pole surface, when separating an individual encoder from an assembly body.

The encoders 2, 4 for the magnetic sensor, provided with annular core metal bodies 2a, 4a comprising cylindrical base parts 22, 42 extended along a prescribed direction, and slinger parts 24, 44 provided adjacently to extended ends in one-sides of the base parts, and extended at a prescribed angle with respect to the base parts, and magnetic pole bodies 2b. 4b provided at least in a part of the outer surfaces of the slinger parts. A prescribed magnetic material, is provided with cushioning parts 26, 46 for covering the extended ends, to prevent the adjacent encoder from being attracted directly to the magnetic pole body by a magnetic attraction force and to reduce a frictional force acting between the adjacent encoder and the magnetic pole body, when the adjacent encoder is slid to be separated from the condition, where the plurality of encoders for the magnetic sensor is layered on the respective core metal bodies, while being positioned concentrically, in the other ends 22b, 42b of the base parts.
