Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique to generate an encryption key protecting communication between two entities that execute distributed security operation in coordination.SOLUTION: A method includes providing at least two parameters 106, 108. The first parameter 106 comprises an aggregation of encryption keys 110, 112 calculated by a first entity executing security operation, or is derived from the aggregation. A second parameter 118 comprises a token 116 having a value different every time a second entity starts security operation regarding the first entity, or is derived from the token. In order to generate a desired encryption key 120, a key derivation function is applied on the basis of the provided parameters.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
