Abstract:
To easily recognize a position to have a relieving surface in relieving a work material.
Three grooves 18 are formed at a predetermined interval d from a position of a base end side cutting edge 16 toward the base end side of an end mill body in the end mill body 11 so that the grooves ride the entire loop around the outer peripheral surface 11B in a direction orthogonal to the axial line O. Three grooves 18 are stained with different colors. Depth of the grooves 18 is set in a range from 0.2 to 0.5 mm. Respective proximities of the grooves 18 on the outer peripheral surface 11B have a value indicating a distance from the base end side cutting edge 16 in the axial lien O direction.
