Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an end plate to install on a stator frame of an electric motor driving an air compressor.
SOLUTION: An air compressor 10 includes a crankshaft 12 rotatively held by at least one rotary bearing. An electric motor 18 includes: a stator frame 20; a stator 22 installed inside the stator frame 20; and a rotor 24 fixed at a part of the crankshaft 12 and capable of rotating with the shaft. The crankshaft 12 is protruded through the stator 22 and has a tip at its end. An end plate 36 can be mounted to the stator frame 20 so as to impart a holding part for fixing an additional rotary bearing 42 that rotatively holds the tip of the crankshaft 12 at the opposite side of at least one rotary bearing of the rotor 24.
